Wearing a costume to display you’re a fan is one of the most shallow things a human being can do. “LOOK AT ME, I’M A FAN OF THIS CORPORATE PROPERTY!” So fucking what?
The best thing is that this is a comic about a girl who just IMAGINES she’s wearing a dumb wonder woman costume at a convention. She didn’t actually do it and make a comic on the real life experience. She imagined it, and made a comic on the phony non-existent experience. That wasn’t good enough, she tacked on a perfunctory strawman experience as well, where a hot girl at a convention in a revealing costume showing off the curves and contours of her sexy ass body gets yelled at for being a slut whore, something that has never happened (dot txt) because people on tumblr love making up fake ass stories and crying about what victims they are because of their imaginations.
So desperate to be victims that they take shit that was said by dorks on the internet and tried to apply them to real life. Meanwhile you see all sorts of fat broads in garish or awful costumes at conventions for YEARS AND YEARS and they don’t seem to get too many complaints about it, because you keep seeing them. If it was really this bad, you’d think the fatties would stop doing it. So why do they keep doing it? Because the corporate icon they’re shilling for needs their public appreciation? Fuck that and fuck the idea that I HAVE to respect you because you wore a dumb costume.
On top of all of this, it starts by blaming THOSE GOD DAMN EVIL MEN AND THEIR ~*~MALE GAZE~*~ for making women feel bad for themselves.
